About the project

We are developing a new type of product in the Fintech area, Ocean Credit and Volt, on concepts fully developed in Moldova and Romania, by a company with a good business history that chose to invest profits in further development.

It starts from scratch. The team decides the design and functionality, how the components interact, how the code will be written, the data format and the processing flow. There are no restrictions on legacy code, previous architectures, outdated formats. Everything is new, modern, oriented to the future.

What you’ll do

Interpret data and client’s behavioral data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports;
Advanced professional SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), as well as professional acquired familiarity with a variety of databases.
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems;
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets;
Filter and „clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems;
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs;
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities;
Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata;
Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization;
Generating reports from single or multiple systems.

Who you are

We are looking to hire a data analyst to join our data team. You will take responsibility for managing our master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues. To do well in this role you need a very fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and a deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases.

Bonus points

Interest in fintech technology!
2+ years of experience in a Data Analytics role.
Strong knowledge of data extraction in SQL and data manipulation in Python.
Previous experience with any BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio).
Hands-on experience with Jupyter notebooks
Prior experience with customer segmentation, churn analysis, retention analysis, and RMF analysis is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.
Demonstrated experience in handling data sets and relational databases.
High-level written and verbal communication skills.
